Obi Anayo Anthony was born into the family of Mr Peter Obiagbaoso of
blessed memory. He was born in the University of Benin Teaching Hospital
(UBTH), at Ugbowo, Benin City, Edo State.
He hailed from Umuezenyi village in Ihitenansa, in Orsu Local Government Area (LGA) of Imo State.
Anthony Obi have 5 siblings, namely: Desmond Obi, Amaka Odinka, Samuel Obi, Rose Darasomba and Njideka Okafor. Anthony Obi is the last born of his parents, namely: Peter Obi of blessed memory and Florence Obi.
He attended Oza Primary School between 1990 to 1996. He also attended Immaculate Conception Colledge (ICC) from 1997 to 2002 and later went to Acada Comprehensive Colledge where he sat for National Examination Council (NECO). He came out with a very good grades.
One thing that Anthony Obi had treasured so much while growing up was to one day put on the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Jacki. Base on this dream and also the fact that there is no graduate among his immediate family, he decided to forge ahead.
He was admitted into Federal Polytechnic Auchi in Edo State between 2007 to 2009, where he obtain National Diploma (ND) in Mass Communication.
He later went ahead to obtain Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mass Communication in the same institution between 2011 and 2013.
He moved over to Abuja after graduation from Higher Education. From there, he went for his most cherished and mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in 2014. He was initially posted to Zamfara State but work his re-deployment to Niger State and served at Tafa Local Government.
