World heavyweight champion to visit in Nigeria in August
Peel Aston Global have confirmed that they have concluded plans for three-day-tour of
the country for Joshua.
World heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua will be in Nigeria for a three-day tour in August.Born to Nigerian parents, Joshua has a strong connection to the country and become some sort of national hero since beating Wladimir Klitschko to become WBA, IBO and IBF world heavyweight champion in April.
Peel Aston Global have confirmed that they have concluded plans for three-day-tour of the country for the British boxer.

According to a statement from the director, Khomeini Bukhari, Joshua during his tour will pay a courtesy call on the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo in Abuja and the governors of Lagos and Ogun states respectively.
The 27-year-old is also expected to visit some royal fathers, including the Ooni of Ife, the Awujale of Ijebuland and the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Okinolu.
He will also attend a charity boxing match, Inspire Nigeria, 2017 at the Eko Hotel and the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
“This event is part of his (Joshua’s)
social corporate responsibility and duty to give back to Nigeria, where
he is the son of the soil,” Bukhari said in a wildly circulated statement.
“I
have secured the endorsement and support of several notable people in
Nigeria and I’m very positive that this event will be, by far, the
biggest event in Nigeria in a very long time.”
